Fresh and glowing skin is not only a summer trend. Healthy looking skin has always been a highly sought-after beauty trend. But in the winter months, it can be harder to achieve; central heating and the cold air can dry out your skin and so taking care of it may take a tiny bit more effort. Below I have listed some of the products I use religiously.
My favourite products and ones I know work and help keep a healthy glow to my skin, even in the winter, are Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish cleanser, which I have been using for the last 10 years and wouldn’t change, the Pixi Glow Tonic, The Ordinary’s Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG and Aldi’s Caviar Night cream (yes, it really is as good as they say!)
I found that the Pixi Glow Tonic really did help smooth my skin and gave it an overall healthier glow. I only used it for a week before I noticed a difference so I know it works. It also smells lovely and feels refreshing on the skin.
The Ordinary’s caffeine solution was something I saw Suzanne Jackson talking about; at that point I had started to notice darker circles under my eyes and bags had started to make an appearance…so I thought why not try it? Well, I wasn’t disappointed. It really helped reduce puffiness and the dark circles and made me feel more fresh looking. The good thing is it only costs £5.80 and you only need a tiny bit of product for around the eye area so it will last you for ages.
One thing I love about this brand is that it’s so affordable. All their products are under £10! This is because they don’t use fancy packaging, their ingredients list is very short and there is no added fragrance. They also don’t need to test any of the products. They have been around for years and have tested them plenty of times before.
You definitely need try this if you suffer from puffiness and dark circles under the eyes!
Aldi’s Caviar Night Cream really does live up to the hype. Every single woman whose skin I complimented, told me they used this moisturiser. Their skin always looked fresh, dewy and glowing. I definitely had to try this! So on my next visit to Aldi I bought one. It only costs £6.99 but the jar it’s in and its fragrance make you think it’s a luxury product and brand.
I instantly noticed my skin cleared from any spots only a couple of days after using it, it felt much smoother and much more hydrated. I also noticed my makeup lasted longer and was easier to apply; having hydrated skin always helps!
Obviously different things work for different people and you have to use what works for you and your skin. But these products/brands have been around for a while, have had so many positive reviews and they are definitely worth trying 🙂
